The Garland Health Department (GHD) has confirmed a WNV positive mosquito pool in the 1900 Block of Beltline Rd and 1000 block of Bayshore Dr.  Mosquito spraying will occur during the nighttime hours, pending weather conditions. We cannot spray when it's raining.

Past positive pools have been confirmed at:

1900 block of Beltline Rd. - Oct. 12, 2022

3100 block of Big Oaks - Sept. 21, 2022

4400 block of Colgate - Aug. 30, 2022

1300 block N Jupiter - Aug. 9, 2022

GHD has been trapping at 27 selected locations per week since the first week of May. 

Thus far in 2022, no WNV human cases have been confirmed in the City of Garland, but residents are still urged to take preventative measures.

Citizens can view a mosquito trapping and spraying map depicting areas where WNV has been detected and subsequently sprayed to reduce the adult mosquito population.

The City of Garland uses Envion 30-30 (PDF) for adulticiding from a truck-mounted, ultra-low volume spraying unit.
